Omnidawn’s 2013 Open Poetry Prize Winner, selected by Forrest Gander:

C. Violet Eaton

for Some Habits.



C. Violet Eaton is the editor of Bestoned, a handmade journal of poetry, and the author of a chapbook, No outside force can harm the coyote (Free Poetry, 2014). Recent work has appeared in, or is forthcoming from, Colorado Review, BafterC, Cannibal, Aufgabe, Yalobusha Review, and Fence. He lives in Arkansas with his wife, the poet Sara Nicholson, and sells used & rare books.



Five finalists were also selected by Gander:
