Omnidawn offers four poetry contests every year. The Omnidawn 1st/2nd Poetry Book Contest is held in January/February. The Omnidawn Single Poem Broadside Contest is held in March/April. The Omnidawn Poetry Chapbook Contest is held in May/June. And the Omnidawn Poetry Open Book Contest is held in July and August.
Omnidawn also offers one fiction contest each year, The Omnidawn Fabulist Fiction Novelette/Chapbook Contest, held in October/November.

All of our submissions are read by at least two poetry editors who then pass on the outstanding manuscripts to our poetry editor group who chooses manuscripts that will be forwarded to the judge who determines the winner and the finalists. This process takes between 6-9 months after the closing of a contest.
We accept simultaneous submissions as long as you notify us if your manuscript is accepted for publication elsewhere.
